We recently wrote a newsletter on teaching research skills, and two readers suggested the following resources. Total Language Plus’s Pride and Prejudice study guide leads the student through the research paper process. The Lukeion Project offers a 6 week College Research Writing Seminar for the advanced high schooler that prepares students for papers required by college professors.

Biblical Worldview Elective
As you design your high school program, don’t forget to consider a biblical worldview elective course. We have resources on our high school website which can provide the foundation for developing a course that will serve your teen well, and prepare him for whatever post-high school plans he may have.

If your teen could use some help in investigating various careers, check out some helpful resources. In addition, Gene Veith’s book, God at Work: Your Christian Vocation in All of Life, will provide good discussion for considering the spiritual aspects of calling and career.
