Gift Giving Suggestions

Teaching high school may be all-consuming for you!  So here are some quick ideas for you to consider as you put together your Christmas shopping lists.  How about considering a fragrant Christmas wreath for the grandparents or for your child’s piano teacher?  The Home School Foundation receives a portion of the proceeds from the wreaths and uses the money to help needy homeschool familes. Or, maybe you’d like to  surprise the avid game players in your family with a special edition of Homeschoolopoly. Proceeds from the sale of each game also benefits needy homeschool families.

NCSAA National Homeschool College Fair

The NCSAA National Homeschool College Fair, an online event designed to provide homeschooled students access to information about Christian colleges across the country, will be held December 11-16, 2006.  The fair will include 233 Christian colleges nationwide, and there is NO COST for students or homeschooling groups to participate.

Throughout the week in the comfort of their own homes, students will be able to browse an abundance of Christian college information via our unique online college fair portal, interact with college admissions counselors online, and request information packets from the specific colleges in which they're interested.  In addition, special tools will allow students to learn about many of the colleges' unique application and admissions policies for homeschoolers.

In addition, the homeschool group with the most participants wins a $100 pizza party for its student participants.  Free giveaways of great college prizes and items are also held throughout the week. Homeschool groups that would like to register (to become eligible for the pizza party and student prize giveaways) should contact NCSAA at 724-846-2764.  There is NO COST to register, and all registered groups will receive free information packets and promo posters.
