iGovern Pacific: Leadership, Learning, and Legislation

Dear ##ToName##:

This summer, Generation Joshua is continuing its tradition of bringing world class speakers to its iGovern Summer Leadership camp. iGovern is a one-of-a-kind week-long professional Christian leadership program that gives your student hands-on experience in dealing with the political, legislative, and executive processes of our government. In addition to learning how our government works, they will hear from engaging speakers who will teach about leadership and how teenagers can make a difference.

At iGovern Pacific in Hawaii, your teen will hear from Wendy Wright, former president of Concerned Women for America and current vice president for government relations and communications for C-FAM. Wendy is a veteran pro-life activist and has advised international leaders on human rights issues. She is always a favorite speaker at iGovern, and we are excited to have her at iGovern Pacific this year!

At iGovern West in Colorado Springs, your teen will hear from Bill Jack, founder of Worldview Academy. Bill is a homeschool dad who understands the importance of knowing what you believe, why you believe it, and how to defend those beliefs. Last year was Bill’s first year speaking at iGovern, and we are thrilled to have him back this year!

In addition to the great educational experience, I am also excited about the leadership training students receive at camp. Especially in government, our leaders all too often lack a solid, biblical foundation, and it is vitally important that we train the next generation to be godly, Christian leaders.

I encourage you to register your teenager for iGovern today! The camps are rapidly filling up. At the last update I received, iGovern East in Purcellville, VA from July 6-12 only had four more spots for girls, and all of the spots for guys were filled. iGovern West in Colorado Springs, CO from July 20-26 and iGovern Pacific in Oahu, HI from August 3-9 still have spots open, but I encourage you to sign up today before all those spots are filled too!

J. Michael Smith, Esq.
HSLDA President

P.S. I am looking forward to speaking at iGovern East on practical leadership. The vision of GenJ is to train the next generation to be godly leaders, and I am excited to be able to share some of the lessons I have learned with the students at iGovern East.
