Urgent calls and emails needed to Senator Rubio about UN Disabilities Treaty

Please call Senator Rubio.

HSLDA President Mike Smith has been an advocate for homeschooling for more than 30 years.

Dear Florida HSLDA Members and Friends,

Your U.S. Senator, Marco Rubio, is a member of the U.S. Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee. The Committee will hold a hearing on whether the United States Senate should ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) on Tuesday, November 5, at 2:30 PM.

Senator Rubio is a strong opponent of the CRPD. However, it is critical that Senator Rubio hears a strong message of support from his constituents about this dangerous United Nations treaty.

Please call Senator Rubio right now at his DC office as well as his district offices and thank him for his past opposition to the UN CRPD and urge him to continue to oppose this treaty.

You may reach Senator Rubio at the following numbers:

You can send Senator Rubio a thank you email by using this link to email his office.

Your message to Senator Rubio can be as simple as the following:

“Thank you for your strong opposition to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This treaty surrenders U.S. sovereignty to unelected UN bureaucrats and will threaten parental care of children with disabilities. Our nation already has laws to protect Americans with disabilities. This treaty is unnecessary and will hurt families by giving bureaucrats the power to decide what is in the best interests of a child with disabilities, not the child’s parents. I am grateful for your leadership to protect American sovereignty and children with disabilities from UN control.”

Thank you for joining with us in this battle to protect our children and our children’s future. You defeated this treaty last year. Standing together, we can defeat this treaty once again.

For liberty,

Mike Smith
President, HSLDA
