Attend Meeting with Congressman Randy Hultgren on Common Core
Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,
Many of you have doubtless heard of the Common Core State Standards. HSLDA has recently published a series of articles helping to explain what exactly the Common Core is and how it will impact homeschoolers. We are happy to inform you that Congressman Randy Hultgren will be hosting a town hall event at McHenry County College on the topic of the Common Core State Standards.
We would encourage you to join Congressman Hultgren on Wednesday, August 28 at McHenry County College, Luecht Conference Center, Building B, Room 171, 8900 U.S. Hwy 14, Crystal Lake, 60012. This event will give you more information about the common core and what you in Illinois can do to help stop its implementation. Registration begins at 6:15 p.m. on August 28 with the program beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m.
For more information, please contact Congressman Hultgren’s D.C. office at (202) 225-2976.
J. Michael Smith, Esq.
