College & Employment
College admissions and employment have become much easier for homeschool graduates in recent years than they were in the 1980s and early 1990s. HSLDA has put a great deal of effort into changing laws and educating the public so that the merits of home education programs and graduates are recognized.
Despite the considerable progress that has has been made, homeschool graduates occasionally still face difficulties when applying to colleges or seeking employment. Admissions counselors and employers may be unfamiliar with homeschooling, unaware of state and federal requirements, or bound by outdated policies. These College & Employment Issues Library articles should provide assistance as you seek to gain college admission or employment and help you better understand what HSLDA has done and will continue to do to fight for our freedoms.
