Senate Bill 2447: Requring Civics Courses be Taught to High School Students

Summary:

This bill would create the Mississippi Civic Literary Act. It would require that certain civics courses be taught to all high school students. While HSLDA believes that parents should teach civics as a part of a high school curriculum, we oppose any effort by the state to impose required subjects on homeschoolers.
