N.H. Ed 315 - Home Education Rules Review
Sponsors:
New Hampshire Department of Education
Summary:

The New Hampshire Department of Education has proposed changes to the administrative rules governing the operation of home education programs (Ed 315 “Procedures for the Operation of Home Education Programs”). These changes would significantly increase government regulation of homeschoolers. You can view the proposed changes by clicking on the link at the bottom of the screen.

HSLDA's Position:

HSLDA supports only those changes in the rules proposed by the HEAC in January of 2009. These proposed changes were developed through a collaborative process including the DOE and reflect changes with which the homeschool community in New Hampshire has been consulted.

Action Requested:
None at this time
Status:

The final version of the rules approved by the State Board of Education contained only minor changes that reflect changes in state law over the last few years.

HSLDA would like to thank all the dedicated homeschoolers in New Hampshire who made contact with members of the Board of Education. It is largely because of your support that no additional burdensome requirements were added to the home education regulations.
