Summary:

Removes scheduled repeal under Open Government Sunset Review Act of exemption from public records requirements for information that could identify minor which is contained in record relating to minor’s petition to waive notice requirements when terminating pregnancy; makes editorial changes; expands exemption to include such information held by office of criminal conflict & civil regional counsel or Justice Administrative Commission; provides for future legislative review & repeal of expanded exemption; provides statement of public necessity.

Note.-- This bill is being submitted because if this law is not renewed the current one will automatically be repealed on October 2, 2010.

Summary:

Amends specified provision relating to a public records exemption for information contained in court files which identifies a minor petitioning for a waiver of the notice requirements contained in the Parental Notice of Abortion Act. Saves the exemption from repeal under the OGSR Act, etc. Effective date: Upon becoming law.
