House Bill 5912: Prohibiting Parents under Investigation for Child Abuse from Beginning Homeschool Program
Sponsors:
Rep. Ellen Cogen Lipton
Summary:

This bill would prohibit the parent or guardian of a child who is under investigation for child abuse or neglect from beginning to homeschool a child. This bill would create a presumption of guilt based simply on a report to social services, perhaps even an anonymous tip. This represents a gross violation of due process of law.
