Summary:

This bill is a tax credit bill for donations made to a “student scholarship organization.” These scholarships would be for students enrolled in a public elementary or secondary school or one who is eligible to enroll in a public kindergarten or pre-kindergarten program. The scholarships would be used to permit these students to enroll in or transfer to a nonpublic school. Homeschool students and other students presently enrolled in other nonpublic schools would not be eligible for the scholarships.
