House Bill 2291: More Immunization Exemption Options for Homeschooling Parents

Summary:

This bill allows a licensed nurse practitioner or a health department to provide written certification that an immunization may be detrimental to a child's health for purposes of compliance with health requirements for home-instructed children and children exempted or excused from school attendance. Currently, this certification may only be provided by a physician.
