This bill would require students who are under 18 to take the ACT before being allowed to drop out of school. Further, it requires students unable to attain a composite score of 21 on the ACT to remain in school until they turn 18. This expansion of state control over education is similar to an increase in the compulsory school attendance age.
Died in committee.
