This bill would create the Alabama Network of Statewide Workforce and Education-Related Statistics (ANSWERS), a statewide data system designed to track data on individuals from early learning through college and the workforce. The type of information to be tracked would include: student performance, remediation and retention, credential attainment, demographic data, enrollment, employment status, wage information, geographic location of employment, and employer information. The goal would be to link student performance data with workforce data. HSLDA is concerned about the privacy of the information collected and the threat to home school student data privacy.
