Legislative Bill 58: Allows School Boards to Establish Policies for Homeschooler Participation in School-Related Activities

Summary:

If passed, this bill would require school boards to establish policies and procedures for exempt homeschool students to participate in extracurricular activities. Students may be required to enroll in a class for eligibility and follow all school policies while on school grounds or at a school-sponsored activity or event. Additionally, an exempt home school student may not participate in activities for one full year after withdrawing from public school.
