Summary:

House Bill 5177 would require the department of elementary and secondary education to consider incorporating substance abuse education and suicide prevention into the health education curriculum.

HSLDA is monitoring this bill. If passed, it will not result in immediate changes. We will be monitoring the Department of Education's response and track any changes and their impact on homeschool families.
