Summary:

This bill creates “empowerment scholarship accounts” for students who were enrolled in a TN public school for the previous 2 semesters or eligible to attend TN ps for first time. A parent must sign agreement to provide education in reading, grammar, math, social studies, and science and to release the LEA from all obligations to educate the student; annual standardized testing is required.
