Summary:

This bill would remove the exemption from child care licensing requirements that is currently available to churches and nonprofit religious schools. If passed, churches and nonprofit religious schools that have established and maintained facilities for the care of children must follow child care licensing requirements.

HSLDA's Position:

While HSLDA does not believe this legislation will impact homeschool programs, it may impact some homeschool coops or church schools that serve as an umbrella for homeschool programs.
