As homeschool parents, you have a track record for finding resources. You may know that your children will be more engaged and successful in college if they are working a plan to reach academic and career goals, but may not know where to turn for professional guidance.
Our consultants at CAREER VISION can help you discover your child’s natural talents and identify college majors and rewarding careers. Aptitudes and interests are the best predictors of future success and happiness. When students know how they can use their natural gifts to make a meaningful contribution in a career and in life, they are more motivated and confident.
THE CAREER VISION PROCESS
- Step 1: Call and we will help you select which package is best for your child and schedule the assessment. We offer services in our Chicago-area location as well as a distance option.
- Step 2: Your child completes the assessment which includes the Ball Aptitude Battery®, interests, values, and personality instruments, and self-rating of abilities.
- Step 3: Schedule a conference with your consultant. We include the student and parents in this educational and interactive discussion of the assessment results which culminate in specific career recommendations and college majors. Your child receives a personalized career portfolio binder which contains information on the careers as well as tools to make exploration, decision-making, and planning easier.
- Step 4: Complete the goal sheet that establishes a proactive plan to assist your child with strategies to learn more about how these different careers might work for them. Monthly newsletters and access to additional coaching continue to support college and career best practices.
