Romeike legal team prepares for April 23 court date
After meeting with the Romeike family at the Tennessee Home Education Association’s Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, HSLDA Chairman Mike Farris posted a quick update of their case on Facebook the next day.
“Please pray for us as we prepare for the hearing on April 23 in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit,” he wrote. “Today and tomorrow will both feature moot courts (combative practice rounds) with panels of attorneys who play the role of the appellate judges.”
“The more I prepare, the more I am convinced of the rightness of this case,” he concluded.
Among the dozens of commenters responding to Farris’s post, Virginia Senator Dick Black wrote, “Keep up the great work!”
“Thank you for helping this family. We are praying,” Ruth Brown posted.
Betsy Ball Clark said, “Thank you so much for your courageous fight for freedom.”
