HSLDA to Marple: We’ll Fight!

State Superintendent of Schools Jorea Marple responded to homeschoolers’ calls, emails, and letters with an email acknowledging that while many homeschoolers do well, she is concerned about reports that some are being neglected and are falling through the cracks. She said, “I cannot ignore these injustices and let these children slip through the cracks.”

HSLDA West Virginia Staff Attorney Mike Donnelly responded with a letter to Ms. Marple explaining that she does not have jurisdiction to impose any new regulations, and that HSLDA will vigorously oppose any attempt to increase the burden on West Virginia homeschoolers.

In light of Ms. Marple’s comments HSLDA wants to give all of our West Virginia friends the opportunity to take advantage of the best pricing available for a new HSLDA membership. For just a few dollars a month, you can join hundreds of West Virginia families and stand united as we oppose those who seek increased burdens on our freedoms; threats like those from Ms. Marple and Delegate Manypenny. If you haven’t joined HSLDA or your membership has lapsed, now is the time to get involved to defend your freedom!
