School District Demands Homeschoolers to Fill Out Unlawful Forms

One of our member families in Libertyville received a form letter from the school district asking them for certain information regarding their private school. The letter contained forms that the school district demanded be filled out and sent back.

The Home School Legal Defense Association sent a letter in response to the district’s form letter informing the school district that homeschoolers were not required to fill out the forms and were being advised by HSLDA not to do so.

We have not heard back from the school district, and the family has been left alone.

If you live in the Libertyville School District area and receive a form letter such as the one mentioned above, please contact our offices so we can address the matter promptly.
