Important Victory in California

AB 1077 - Student Dental Health Tracking (Assembly Member Wilma Chan)- Positively amended before dying in the Assembly - an Important Victory!!

HSLDA is passing on this NEWSFLASH from Roy Hanson and Jim Davis of Family Protection Ministries (FPM).

God gave us grace to be successful in having AB 1077 amended. This amendment would have kept the California Legislature from imposing unnecessary requirements on private schools and the pupils who enroll in them. AB 1077 would have burdened private schools with the inappropriate and unnecessary responsibility of tracking whether their students had been to the dentist. This responsibility will remain, as it should be, a private family matter.

We opposed AB 1077 until it was amended to exclude private schools. AB 1077 died in the Assembly after it was amended to apply only to public schools.

No action is required on AB 1077.

Permission given to reprint or forward this Newsflash unaltered to your friends, church, school, and group.
