November 28, 2001

Dear Vermont members and friends,

Yesterday, the Vermont State Board of Education (SBE) agreed to delay
a vote on creation of a Home School Advisory Commission (HSAC). The
SBE seemed surprised at the level of opposition to the HSAC, as many
home schoolers rose to speak against it. Commissioner of Education
David Wolk was apologetic for not giving home school families more
notice about his proposal to create the HSAC.

Home school leaders have scheduled a meeting to discuss the HSAC
proposal with outgoing commissioner Wolk during the first week in
December.

Thank you for your prayers! We are very pleased with the outcome of
the meeting.

Sincerely,

Scott A. Woodruff, Esq.
