Homeschooling Progresses in Poland
Homeschoolers in Poland have been moving forward. Over 10 years ago, Marek Budajczak started the homeschooling movement in Poland. He has battled for the right to homeschool legally and has written a book in Polish for homeschoolers.

Compulsory Education Ages: 6-18 (as of 2012, the age will be lowered to 5)

Legal Status: Homeschooling is legal. Article 16 (Parts 8-14) of the Polish Education Act states that parents may apply for permission to homeschool from a school director. The Act also enumerates the general conditions for homeschooling. In April 2010, amendments to the Education Act positively affected homeschoolers by stating they could apply for permission to homeschool from any school, not exclusively their local public school as it was previously.
