Compulsory Attendance Age: 5 - 16

Legal status: Homeschooling is legal. §23 of the Bahamian Education Act states it is the duty of parents to cause their children to receive education by regular school attendance or “otherwise.” Homeschooling is considered education “otherwise.” Currently, the Ministry of Education has not developed any regulations to govern homeschoolers.
