This symposium is a one-day training session specifically directed to parents who are in the midst of high school or just considering the option. General sessions include Developing a Plan for High School (Diane Kummer) and Important Pit Stops During High School (Becky Cooke). You’ll also receive encouragement and help from Elizabeth Smith’s general session, 10 Reasons to Homeschool Teens. In addition, six breakout sessions will focus on time management for parents and teens, parental rights amendment—why we need it and what you can do, praying your way through high school, creating a transcript, preparing your teen for college life, and a panel of HSLDA professionals discussing career opportunities with or without a college degree and the education/training necessary for those vocations.
Bring your teens ages 13–19! Generation Joshua will be hosting a teen track, iAdvocate, to give your teens inside information and training through a mock legislative session. Lunch is included.
HSLDA or GenJ member: $20 per teen
Nonmembers: $30 per teen.
