To Give Grades or Not To Give Grades?
During the elementary and junior high school years, you may not have given much thought to evaluating your child's school work and then giving him a grade in each subject. After all, as homeschool parents, you have a front row seat overseeing your child's work and you know how well he's doing. When you reach the high school years, however, you may want to consider giving grades. High school transcripts traditionally include final grades for each subject, and some scholarships take grades into consideration when reviewing applications.
