Apologia Online Course Offerings

For families who wish for more teacher input in those science courses, Apologia is launching Apologia Academy internet courses beginning in the fall of 2009. If your children benefit from live instruction, this may be just the option for you. Please be aware that these courses will necessitate the purchase of new second edition books as the courses will not be compatible with the first edition Apologia textbooks that you may find at used book sales.

PHC Summer Camps - 2009

 Make plans now for your teen to attend one of Patrick Henry College’s Summer Leadership Camps.  The camps cover a variety of areas such as strategic intelligence, international relations, debate, constitutional law, drama, journalism, and a new addition this year, Kuck’s Camp (physics).  All camps are taught from a biblical worldview and are geared towards teens ages 14 – 18.

2009 Contests

HSLDA is sponsoring new 2009 contests for homeschoolers in the areas of Art, Photography, and Poetry.   Explore the opportunities available and encourage your teens to enter. Cash prizes are awarded and entry fees are used to benefit the Home School Foundation's Special Needs Children Fund.  Your teen may also be interested in investigating these other contests and competitions.
