Calls Needed to Oppose House Bill 826
Dear Minnesota Members and Friends,
House Bill (HB) 826 seeks to address the bullying problem in schools by creating new anti-bullying programs which include “diversity training” and marginalize parental involvement. Preventing bullying is an issue which needs to be at home and in the community, not through mandatory school classes.
This bill currently exempts home education, but any homeschooler who participates at all in the public school system would be subject to these classes. The bill being considered by the Senate before returning to the House for confirmation. Please contact your senator and representative now to oppose this bill!
Please contact your Senator or Representative and give them the following messages in your own words:
“I am calling to oppose House Bill 826. This bill chooses state education over parenting as a means of solving the problem of bullying in our schools. Further, this would create a costly state program which would pose a significant burden on our educational system. Please vote against HB 826.”
You can find your legislators and their contact information here.
Thank you for all you do in defense of freedom for families in the great state of Minnesota!
Very truly yours,
Michael P. Donnelly, Esq.
