Homeschooling in Ohio

This is truly wonderful news!

Mike Farris is the founder and chairman of HSLDA and a homeschooling father of 10.

Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,

Today, both of your U.S. Senators, Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander, released statements announcing their opposition to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities (UNCRPD). You can read Senator Corker’s statement here.

While we know supporters of the treaty will still try to ratify this dangerous UN treaty in 2014, this news makes it nearly impossible for the treaty to be ratified. Senator Corker is the Ranking Member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and both he and Senator Alexander have long been pressured by treaty supporters to vote for the UNCRPD. Today’s dual announcements put those attempts to rest.

We encourage each and every Tennessee family to contact Senator Corker’s office and Senator Alexander’s office and thank them for standing against the UNCRPD, and standing for U.S. sovereignty, homeschool freedom and parental rights, and US protection for the dignity of persons with disabilities.

You can call Senator Corker at his DC office at 202-224-3344, and email him
by clicking here.

You can call Senator Alexander at his DC
office at 202-224-1546, and email him by clicking here.

This is truly wonderful news just in time for the Christmas holiday.

For liberty,

Michael Farris, JD, LLM
Chairman, HSLDA
