Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,

You can help pull Wisconsin out of the Common Core quagmire by attending or speaking at one of four hearings the state legislature has organized, which start tomorrow. Here is the schedule:

  • At the Capitol in Madison from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 3.

  • Oct. 16 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Fond du Lac City/County Building.

  • Oct. 23 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire.

  • Oct. 30 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.

Common Core standards will strip Wisconsin parents, teachers, and local school districts of the authority to decide how and what children learn.

You can also visit a Facebook page run by another organization to keep abreast of up-to-the-minute updates about the Wisconsin Common Core battle.

For more information about why HSLDA opposes the Common Core, and the major threat it poses to homeschool freedom, please visit www.hslda.org/commoncore.

For liberty,

Scott A. Woodruff, Esq.
Senior Counsel, HSLDA
