Dear Michigan Members and Friends,

Your calls made a difference. The House Education Committee delayed its vote until today. But a new resolution has been introduced, House Concurrent Resolution 11. Both HCR 11 and HR 226 will allow the state Department of Education to spend money implementing Common Core Standards. Please call the Education Committee again this morning and tell them you oppose both resolutions.

Action Requested

Please contact as many members of the House Education Committee as possible this morning and give them the following message in your own words:

“Please vote against Both HCR 11 and House Resolution 226. This resolution will allow the state Department of Education to continue implementing Common Core, which will facilitate the increasing federalization of education with the potential to infringe upon the liberty of all parents to direct the education of their children.”
