Opportunity for Homeschoolers to Attend STEM fair at Dulles Town Center
Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,
On September 27-28, 2013, Dulles Town Center Mall in northern Virginia will host a free Career Fair co-sponsored by Congressman Frank Wolf on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. There will be over 60 exhibits presented by National Science Foundation and other agencies including NASA, the National Institutes of Health, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The fair is completely free. The purpose is to help connect middle school and high school students to information about careers in these highly technical fields, exciting. This is a great opportunity to make connections and explore what fields are open to your child in the area of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Congressman Wolf especially wanted to make sure that homeschoolers are informed about this science fair. He will attend the opening ceremony on Friday, September 27, at 11 a.m., which will also feature Dr. Cora Marrett, who is the acting director of the NSF, Story Pirates, and storm chaser Josh Wurman.
