Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:

Every year the Private School Affidavit (PSA) must be filed between October 1 and 15. If you are enrolled in a Private School Satellite Program (PSP), the school’s administrator files one affidavit for the whole group.

Please review Family Protection Ministry’s updated full article entitled “Filing the Private School Affidavit,” available on their website. This document helps answer questions about filing the affidavit and provides important additional resources. We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with our line-by-line instructions for how to compete the affidavit.

When the 2013-2014 Private School Affidavit becomes available shortly before or on October 1 on the California Department of Education’s (CDE) website, we will review it in conjunction with FPM and send out another e-lert reminding you to file the affidavit and advise you as to any changes.

Sincerely,

Mike Smith
HSLDA President

You can only do so much...

No one can be everywhere at once. And you can’t be at home, teaching your children, while monitoring your state’s legislature. Through electronic legislative services, HSLDA is monitoring state legislation for you— watching and listening carefully for any proposed laws that could erode your right to homeschool. Join HSLDA today—we’ll watch out for your future.
