2. Virginia: Victory for Parental Rights

Virginia's Parental Rights Act has been approved by both houses of the
General Assembly and sent to Governor Bob McDonnell for his signature.
This is a major victory in Virginia, and hopefully just a first step
as these statutes take hold nationwide.

3. The World Changers: Episode 11 in our Weekly Video Series

"I'm certain the future leaders, the future world changers are going
to be homeschool graduates," says HSLDA Director of Federal Relations
Will Estrada. Pointing out that public schools are a relatively new

4. Widow Homeschool Grants Available

The Home School Foundation, http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=17349
HSLDA's charitable arm, has open enrollment in March and April for
homeschooling widows and widowers. If you are a widow trying to
homeschool, check out the HSF Widows Fund and apply. If you know a
homeschooling widow, please spread the word or donate.

5. High School Questions? Spend a Day with Consultant Diane Kummer

Take advantage of the last call to register for the HSLDA High School
Teacher Training session to be held in Purcellville, VA on Friday,
March 8. Whether you are in the high school years or just thinking

include developing a high school plan, creating a transcript, keeping

In-store Homeschool Tech Talk sessions are held on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday or Thursday from 2-4 p.m. for five consecutive weeks.
Classes are limited to 12 students per day and registration is
required. Sessions cover topics such as: Office Unleashed, Digital
Movie Madness, Game Masters or Digital Arts Smarts.
