D.C. State Board of Education Working Session on Compulsory Attendance

Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,

The District of Columbia State Board of Education is holding a working
session to discuss revisions to D.C.'s compulsory school attendance
laws. Several years ago, the District considered reducing the
compulsory attendance age to 3. While we are unsure of the specific
revisions that may be proposed at the meeting, we know that continued
vigilance is required to protect our homeschooling freedoms.

The working session will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at
4:30 p.m. in Room 1114, 441 4th Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.

The working session is open to the public, although individuals are
not permitted to speak or participate during the session. A strong
homeschool showing, however, helps remind the board of the importance
of these issues to their constituents and helps heighten awareness in
the homeschool community to these potential threats to our liberties.

Thank you for your support of homeschooling in the District of
Columbia! Justitia Omnibus!

Very truly yours,

Michael P. Donnelly, Esq.

-> Can you look at the clouds and tell the direction of the wind?

An interesting phenomenon of wind is that it can blow in multiple
directions at the same time, at different heights from the ground.
But usually there is a prevailing wind. HSLDA watches the gusts
and monitors the prevailing trends of change in the legal climate
of home education. So no matter which way the wind is blowing,
we're there to protect your family.
