7. PHC Offers Samuel Adams Scholarship for Journalism

Patrick Henry College is offering aspiring Christian journalism
students valuable scholarships--between $7,000 and $10,000, granted
annually for four years. Well-qualified applicants who can demonstrate
interest and talent in journalism through reporting or editing
experience qualify for this award. The application deadline for the
Samuel Adams Scholarship is January 1, 2013.

8. A Call to Pens Writing Contest

This autumn marks the fifth year of Patrick Henry College's annual A
Call to Pens contest, a national short story competition open to
students ages 12 through 18. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top
four contestants in each division, and the entry deadline is January
7, 2013.

9. Live Holiday Lessons and Carols Webcast at PHC

A beautiful tradition at Patrick Henry College for the past six years
returns Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at 7 p.m. Kick off the holiday season
