be interested:


The Project Management / Administrative Assistant functions as the
Communications department liaison with the various departments of
HSLDA and outside vendors. The primary responsibility is to coordinate
all the project requests that come to our department and take care of
the day-to-day details that help our team run smoothly.

As the administrative assistant for the Communications department,
this individual is available to help each member of the Communications
team accomplish their assignments. This may include running errands,
facilitating communication, setting up team meetings, keeping office
supplies stocked, ordering office equipment or furniture, etc...
This individual is also responsible for overseeing that the
fulfillment and tracking/conversion components of Home School
Heartbeat are up to date and running smoothly, overseeing part-time
and student workers' assignments, tracking HSLDA print inventory, and
helping gather and analyze data for reports and product/cost auditing.

Project management includes the following:

1. Helping departments to submit a job request by filling out the
necessary paperwork and discussing what the job entails and when they
need it delivered. These include jobs that need design, editing,
writing, conceptual assistance, etc., and may be for print or
electronic production.

2. Working with the editors and designers to make sure that the job is
done in a timely fashion.

3. Getting bids for new jobs.

4. Sending the job to the printer and checking job upon delivery for
quality and quantity.

5. Notifying the department that requested the project has arrived.

6. Processing the bill and submitting to Accounting. Recording
production costs and finding ways to cut costs.

7. Consulting with department director on project progress and
deadline changes.

The ideal candidate for this position will be:

> Highly organized.

> Enjoys working in an often fast-paced environment.

> Able to prioritize multiple competing deadlines and switch tracks
quickly if needed.

> Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite--familiar with, and
comfortable and competent in Excel and WORD a must.

> Cheerful and friendly with good people skills.

> Team player who seeks to make the team successful.

> Able to effectively collaborate with team members or work
independently as needed.

> A clear communicator.

> Calm under pressure.

> Consistently sees projects through to completion.

Position is full-time and on-site. Individuals preferring
telecommuting need not apply.
