Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, One in seven people think they are registered to vote, but they are not. HSLDA is proud to partner with United In Purpose to help register homeschool parents so that they can vote. You can visit http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=15540 to see if you and your friends and family are registered to vote. If you or they are not, the site prompts you to request the necessary information so that you and others can register to vote. This service is free, and there are no strings attached. Every two years we hear that "this is the most important election of our lifetimes." Well, I believe that every election is important. But there's something even more important than voting on Election Day. It's registering to vote in advance so that you can vote on Election Day. The famed English statesman Edmund Burke once said that the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. HSLDA believes it is crucial that every good man and woman who is eligible to vote be registered and vote on Election Day. The future of our nation, our freedom, and our children's freedom are too important for us to sit on the sidelines. Are you registered to vote? Are your friends, family members, and fellow homeschoolers registered to vote? I hope that you are on the field this Election Day, not the sidelines.
