Romney Adds Voice in Parental Rights Battle Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney recently joined Home School Legal Defense Association in "unequivocal" opposition to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This treaty undermines U.S. sovereignty and erodes parental rights, freedoms which Romney declares "have been at the heart of our historic rise to world leadership." And while HSLDA has not endorsed any candidate for president this year, we applaud Gov. Romney for his strong stance on this very important issue for parents.
