6. Homeschool Grants for Single Parents

The Home School Foundation http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=15137 ,
the charitable arm of HSLDA, is offering one-time grants to Christian
single parents in extreme circumstances who are training their
children in the Lord, through their Children of Single Parents fund.
If you know a single parent family that is struggling to homeschool,
please have them contact HSF to see if they qualify for a grant. The
summer enrollment period is open through the end of July

10. Special Needs Assessment Test Cost Increase

The cost for renting Brigance assessment kits from HSLDA will increase
by $25 on July 15, 2012. These tests help parents determine their
students' skills in the elementary, middle and high school years. Use
them to identify special academic needs, choose curriculum, and verify
learning progress.
