====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== A Positive Turn on Daytime Curfew Issue Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Your opposition to the Kansas City, MO, daytime curfew is making a tremendous difference! The major participants in the daytime curfew issue have been engaged in useful discussions. There is even a glimmer of hope that a mutually acceptable ordinance could be developed. As a result, Councilman Wagner, the chief proponent of the daytime curfew concept, has given us his assurance that he will not ask the City Council to vote on his proposal at this Thursday's meeting. In light of this, no further calls to City Council members are needed at this time, and there is no need for families to attend the City Council meeting tomorrow, April 26. If the pending discussions do not result in a consensus and the need for action arises again, we will let you know promptly. But for now, no action is needed. Thank you once again for your vigorous efforts to defend freedom! Your phone calls, attendance at meetings, etc., give credibility and clout to those who are working hard locally to resolve this issue in a way that protects the liberty of young people to move about freely during the daytime.
