====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Georgia--Homeschool Capitol Day! Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Homeschool Capitol Day is coming to your area on Thursday, March 29, 2012, beginning at 9:15 a.m.! This event is being organized by the Georgia Home Education Association (GHEA) and will be held in Atlanta at the Georgia state Capitol. Tours of the state Capitol will be conducted throughout the day. In addition, there will be a photo opportunity with the governor at 10 a.m. in the governor's office. Furthermore, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a music program in the North Atrium of the State Capitol. In addition, a class will be held on how a bill is introduced and passed at 11 a.m. in the Sloppy Floyd Building, and again at 2 p.m. at the same location. Formal registration is not required to participate in this event. However, if you wish to participate in any of the tours which will be conducted throughout the day, you should contact skis91798@mypacks.net to reserve a spot for your family. In addition, if you wish to participate in the photo opportunity with the governor at 10 a.m., you should arrive a few minutes early so that you can be in place by that time. And finally, if you would like to meet with your representative and senator during your trip, we would encourage you to contact them in advance to let them know you would like to meet with them.
