====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Indiana: Last Week to Pre-Register for IAHE Convention and Save! Dear Members and Friends; The 27th annual Indiana Association of Home Educators (IAHE) Convention is only a few weeks away! The IAHE Convention is March 30-31, and you can register at the door. However, if you pre-register by March 17, you and your family can save some money. Go to: http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=14015 and register now! This year the keynote speakers are Dr. Tommy Mitchell with Answers in Genesis and Reb and Bev Bradley with Family Ministries. Other featured speakers include Rick and Marilyn Boyer (http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=14016), Dewey Novotny (http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=14017 ), Sharon Jeffus , Woody Robertson (College Plus), Philip Telfer (Media Talk 101) and many more. HSLDA Staff Attorney Tj Schmidt will also be at the IAHE Convention. Tj will speak on the latest homeschool cases and legislation in Indiana and beyond, help moderate a question-and-answer session for families and support group leaders, as well as cover several other topics. If you have never been to the IAHE Convention, you don't want to miss out on your opportunity to spend a great weekend focused on your family and your private home education program. This two-day conference will encourage you, challenge you, and provide hours of shopping for your homeschool curriculum needs! We believe it is vitally important that the homeschool community in Indiana remain strong and vibrant to ensure that homeschool freedoms are protected and enlarged. Without the leadership and support of a statewide homeschool support network like IAHE and legislative grassroots organization like the American Family Association of Indiana (Micah Clark), the fight to keep homeschool freedom in Indiana could become stagnant or even see a full-scale attack on our right to teach our children at home. This year we have already seen how easy it is for legislation impacting homeschool freedom to end up in a piece of legislation with little warning. Your attendance at the 27th annual IAHE Convention will refresh you and your family in your homeschooling endeavors while also supporting IAHE in their service to the homeschool community. Please plan now to attend the Community Church of Greenwood from March 30-31 for this exciting homeschool conference. To find more information the 27th annual IAHE conference go to: http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=14019 . When you come to the IAHE conference, be sure and stop by the Home School Legal Defense Association table and say "Hi." As a special bonus at the IAHE Convention, we have two special offers for members: > If you join or renew your membership at the conference for one year, you'll receive $10 off your membership (at the conference only). > If you join or renew at the conference for two years, you'll receive $25 off your membership (at the conference only). Additionally, if you bring someone to our table who joins at the conference, we'll give you another $10 coupon for your recommendation--which you can apply toward membership (at the conference only) or HSLDA products. Please note that these offers are only valid at the conference. If you are not yet an HSLDA member or know someone else who might be interested in joining, these same offers are available for families who join at the conference. We look forward to seeing you at the 27th annual IAHE Convention March 30-31! Sincerely, Thomas J.
