Wyoming: Call to Oppose Mandatory Vaccination!

Call to Oppose Mandatory Vaccination

February 23, 2012

Dear HSLDA members and friends,

We need your help to defeat Senate File 54 requiring college students
to take the meningococcal vaccination. SF0054 requires all college and
university students to provide proof that they have received the
meningococcal vaccination within thirty days of enrollment. The bill
prohibits a Wyoming college to permit anyone from attending the
institution without this proof.

HSLDA opposes mandated vaccinations. It is the responsibility of each
student or their parents to determine what medications and
immunizations they should receive.

This issue is crucial because the bill has already passed with a
recommendation from the Senate Health Committee and will be read on
the Senate floor.

Please contact your senator requesting that they vote "no" on SF54.
Your message can be similar to this one:

"Please vote no on Senate File 54 which mandates that students receive
the meningococcal vaccine. It is the responsibility of the students
and their parents, not the government to decide what medication and
immunizations they should receive."

You can find who your senator is by clicking here:

Because this bill applies to all Wyoming parents, it is not necessary
to identify yourself as a homeschooler.

Without your support we could not stand for freedom in Wyoming! If you
or someone you know is not a member of HSLDA, will you consider taking
a moment today to join or recommend us and support our work defending
individual families threatened by government officials and protecting
homeschooling freedom for all? Join now >>

Very truly yours,

Michael P. Donnelly, Esq.
HSLDA Staff Attorney

-> How long are you in for?

Some families are facing what seems like a lifelong commitment to
homeschooling, with children at both ends of the spectrum -- some
graduating and some just reaching school age. If you're going to
be "in" for a while, consider a lifetime membership with HSLDA.
It's a good deal for families with more than 10 years of
homeschooling ahead.
