Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: We have received a report that at least one juvenile officer operating in Linn, Chariton and Sullivan counties may be requiring families to show their homeschool records when there is no legitimate justification. We need to know what the truth is behind this report. If you live in one of those counties, and a juvenile officer or any other official has ever asked to see your homeschool records, or asked you to prove you are homeschooling legally, please send a brief reply to this email address: legalc@hslda.org Also please let us know if anyone you know who lives in one of these counties has been asked to show their records.
