====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== VICTORY--SF 44 Fails Introduction--Your Calls Made a Difference Dear Wyoming Members and Friends of HSLDA: Thank you for taking quick action in opposition to SF 44, which failed introduction today by a vote of 20 to 10 in the Wyoming Senate. This victory shows that by standing together and taking action we can protect freedom. This bill had the potential to harm homeschoolers by increasing fines and providing increased jail time for truancy, something that can sometimes affect homeschoolers. We want to thank all of you who took action to defeat this legislation. We recognize the important work of both WyWatch and HOW, who have been active on this bill, and in particular Becky Vandeberghe at WyWatch, who personally lobbied against this legislation.
