====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Hearing Rescheduled for HB 1382 Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, The New Hampshire House Education Committee has rescheduled its hearing for House Bill 1382, sponsored by Rep. Jim Parison. The public hearing that was originally scheduled for today at 1:00 has been postponed to February 2, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in legislative office building Room 207. As a reminder, HB 1382 would require a truant officer to get a warrant or parental permission before taking custody of a child to return him to school if the child is allegedly in violation of compulsory school attendance requirements. Thank you for the calls and emails to members of the House Education Committee. If you have not taken action yet, please take a moment to call or email and express your support for this positive bill. You can find contact information and a suggested message on our bill page here: http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=13459 Without your support we could not stand for freedom in New Hampshire! HSLDA Staff Attorney ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> Can you look at the clouds and tell the direction of the wind? An interesting phenomenon of wind is that it can blow in multiple directions at the same time, at different heights from the ground. But usually there is a prevailing wind. HSLDA watches the gusts and monitors the prevailing trends of change in the legal climate of home education. So no matter which way the wind is blowing, we're there to protect your family.
