-> Extreme makeovers are for extreme circumstances...

Most homeschools don't need an extreme makeover, but there is
something to be said for attention to detail and recognition of
accomplishments. Watch the media and you'll soon see that not
everyone wants home educators and homeschooling to look good.
HSLDA works hard to shed light on the good work of home educators
so it's obvious that we don't need someone "making-over" our
homeschools. Join HSLDA and help us show the world that we're fine
as we are . . . thank you!

7. Big Discount on Bold Leadership Training for Youth

It is vital that young people--America's future voters and
leaders--learn our Founders' belief in a constitutionally limited
federal government. Because of that, Generation Joshua is extending a
special 30-day offer: Your entire family can join Generation Joshua,
the nation's premier political training group for Christian teens, for
just $50! That's 45% off a 2-year membership!

Do you love to express yourself through visual art? We have a contest

9. Admissions Deadline at Patrick Henry College

February 1 is PHC's regular admissions and scholarship deadline. All
applications postmarked by this deadline will pay a lower application
fee, and will be considered for more financial aid opportunities than
students who wait. College officials anticipate very limited space on
campus this year and encourage interested students to not wait until
the last minute.

11. Bible Bee: Host Churches/Schools Needed for Summer 2012

The new Bible Bee format of two Scripture memory passages per week and
20-minute age-specific Bible studies will help parents lead their
whole family into a sustainable pattern of Bible study and
memorization this summer! With your help, your church or Christian
school can be the focal point of summer activities and the August
Celebration/Contest Day!

12. American Roundtable: The "Tebow Thing"

In purely football terms, the saturation media coverage of and
international fixation with Denver Bronco quarterback Tim Tebow defies
human reason. He is making people wonder if they should try to believe
things they don't actually believe.

13. "Home School Heartbeat": Caregiving as a Homeschooler

Mike Smith with encouragement and wisdom for parents facing these
questions.
